AKSU 2020/2021 Post UME Form is Out, Screening Date Announced!

The Akwa-Ibom State University popularly known as AKSU had begun the sales of form for 2020/2021 Post UME Screening and admission exercise. These extracted from a memo published on the school’s official website and signed by the Registrar of the University, Mr. John Udoh. By this notice, all eligible Aspirants of the Akwa-Ibom State University are advised to kindly follow the steps Below, to ensure a successful Registration for the forthcoming AKSU Post UME Screening.
Meanwhile, the cut off point of AKSU for the 2020/2021 admission process is 160 and above. While the price of the POSTUME form is NGN2000 ONLY.

Who are Eligible Aspirants To Purchase Screening Form?

Eligibility for the Purchase of AKSU Post UME Screening Forms for 2020/2021 academic session depends on the following factors:
1. You must choose AKSU as your first choice institution during your JAMB Registration, if you didn’t do that, you can go to JAMB office to perform  a change of Institution.
2. You must score 160 and above in the just concluded JAMB 2020 examination
3. You must have at least 5 Credits in you core subjects including English Language and Mathematics in not less than two sittings.

Other Post Ume Requirements include;

DE (direct entry) Aspirants must be holders of Advance Level, ND, NCE, HND or First Degree in relevant courses and subjects.
If you have fulfilled the above three criteria, then you are Eligible to purchase and carry out your Post UME Registration. But before you proceed, you need to upload your Ordinary level (O’level) results.

STEPS TO UPLOAD THE O’LEVEL RESULTS

▪ All Aspirants are required to upload their SSCE results online, via the University’s official website (www.aksu.edu.ng/portal). This exercise commences from 27th July, 2020 and end on 21st August, 2020.
▪  Aspirants are to make sure that their O’level results are well uploaded in the official JAMB Portal accordingly.
▪ Note also, that all the uploaded documents must be very sharp, clear and legible. As uploading of blur or unclear documents may lead to prompt disqualification.
Emphatically, Any Aspirant who fails to upload his/her original data (SSCE results) and other important documents may not be considered for admission by the University.
REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
The University’s portal is opened for registration from 27th July, 2020 to 30th October, 2020

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE

The following are the requirements for AKSU 2020/2021 Session Post UME Screening.
1. 2020 JAMB Result slip displaying Aspirant’s picture in color.
2. 2020 JAMB DE printout (applicable to only Direct Entry Aspirants).
3. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate and Result together with Scratch Card(s) details.
4. Diploma, NCE or A-level result or certificate (applicable to only Direct Entry Aspirants)
5. Birth Certificate
6. Certificate of origin.
7. Medical Fitness Certificate from any approved Government Hospital.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Eligible Aspirants are  to register online for the screening exercise through the following steps;
Enter the school portal via http://portal.aksu.edu.ng to generate a Pre-Payment Analysis Slip, This can be done as follows;
1.  First of all, select on REGISTER NOW LINK that will be displayed on the login page
2. Choose PUTME/DIRECT ENTRY displayed in the Registration-Type Panel
3. Type in your JAMB reg. number and the  click on VERIFY.
4. On the right hand side of the page showing your details, choose CLICK TO MAKE PAYMENT, this will generate a prepayment analysis slip, make sure to print it out. After this step, the next step is payment.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE

Two methods of payment involved;
I. Visit the bank with the generated prepayment analysis slip, (the banks will be listed at the bottom of the slip, and pay the money (NGN2000 ONLY for Post UME Screening) and additional NGN500 for bank charges, making everything NGN2500.
ii. You can also pay online with the use of any Nigeria approved CREDIT or DEBIT CARD. This does not involve bank charges.
 After you’ve successfully made your payment, go back to the school portal to repeat steps 1 to 3 above. The payment status should now displayed PAID.
Click the “>” sign that appears at the top right side of the page to continue with the registration process.
Fill the form and upload the documents below (note: size not more than 100KB)
1. 2020 JAMB Result slip displaying Aspirant’s picture in colour.
2. 2020 JAMB DE printout (applicable to only Direct Entry Aspirants).
3. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate and Result together with Scratch Card(s) details.
4. Diploma, NCE or A-level result or certificate (applicable to only Direct Entry Aspirants)
5. Birth Certificate
6. Certificate of origin.
7. Medical Fitness Certificate from any approved Government Hospital.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE INFO TO CONSIDER

NOTE: Print out 2 copies of the Registration Slip from the portal. This will serve as your AKSU PUTME/DE screening Registration Card on the screening day.
NOTE ALSO:
• Any Aspirant who fails to register for the Post-UTME screening exercise would not be considered for Screening.
• Aspirants who did NOT choose AKSU as their First Choice in the just concluded 2020 UTME or Direct Entry are NOT qualified for this exercise.

Ensure to use your Unique  personal phone number and  an active email address while filling the form, This is because timely messages, notices and updates will be sent to Aspirant via these media.

No candidate should by any means falsify his or her information as this will lead to automatic disqualification.

Candidates with awaiting results may not be given admission, so ensure to upload your SSCE results on AKSU and  the JAMB portal
Remember: Early registration is advisable to avoid site congestion on the later date
