The Delta State Governor, his excellency Senator Ifeanyi OkowaDelta State and resumptions in Asaba being the 23rd September. Approved the reopening of primary and secondary schools in the state. This is to enhance the completion of 2019/2020 academic session, to aid the beginning of 2020/2021academic session.

Chief Patrick Ukah the commissioner for education. In a statement in Asaba, said JSS 1 ,2 and SS1-SS2 will resume on the 27 day of sept. 2020 to aid the commencement of the 2nd term examinations which will end on October 9.

The Commissioner in his statement said that primary 4/5 pupils will resume studies on October 5 to help them write their 2nd term exams which will be ending on October 9.

Also stating the 2nd term exams will be waived for pupils in Primary 1-3. Boarding students are expected to resume come the 27th of sept. Delta state

The commissioner in his statement said resumption dates for the 1st term of the 2020/2021 academic session for all pupils both primary and secondary schools is on 12th of October 2020 and will end on the 18th of December, 2020.  while the date for resumption of the 2nd term is January 4, 2021, and will end on March 31, 2021.

Ukah in his statement said the 3rd term commences on the 12th of April and ends on 13th August, 2021, This Long school session is necessary to aid teachers cover rolled over syllables from the previous session.

He also said that resumption for nursery/pre-primary 1 to 3 pupils have been postponed to January 2021 and advises parents/guardians to avail themselves on the resumption dates to prepare wards. For more news Click here
