The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship

The Scholarship grants an uncommon opportunity for graduates to pursue their Masters’ degree in a Low- or average-income country of the commonwealth.

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship is aimed to encourage students who are delegated to fostering changes in their individual communities.

The scholarships are life-changer medium to change their current environment and culture, to help expand their horizon and to build a global network that will take for a life-time.

There are 12 awards available at the under listed Institutions:

 

  1. University of Dhaka, Bangladesh
  2. University of Eswatini
  3. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, (KNUST), Kumasi
  4. The University of the West Indies
  5. Technical University of Kenya
  6. University of Nairobi
  7. University Malaya
  8. University Putra Malaysia
  9. University of Mauritius
  10. COMSATS University Islamabad
  11. University of Rwanda
  12. The State University of Zanzibar

 

Scholarships Eligibility.

  • Every Citizens (or those with refugee status) in the Commonwealth countries are invited to join in the application.
  • All Applicants are employed to apply in a country other than their country of origin or in their resident country.
  • There is no higher age limit to participate for the QECS.
  • At the time of completion of application forms you should have already finished with your degree program with a CGPA of 2:1. As part of the processes of application, the officials will ask you to submit a photocopy of your final year transcript and your B.ac certificate

 

Scholarships Benefits.

The Scholarship awardees will Receive

  1. Fully-funded tuition fees
  2. Living expenses allowance (stipend) for duration of award
  3. Return economy flights to their country of origin or residential countries
  4. Arrival allowances
  5. Research support grant – on request only down to subject to approval.

 

How Selection Is Made

The committee setup for selection will assess each applicants’ applications using 4 key criteria:

  1. Academic history/references
  2. Plan of Study
  3. Development Impact and Post Study Outreach
  4. Creating Networks
